Womb for Hire
Watch out Moms, our jobs are about to be outsourced... to single, middle-aged men. Single, professional men are forgoing Moms entirely when it comes to parenthood, according a story in Sunday's New York Post.
Alone and eager to start a family, these dads-to-be are doling out
as much as $90,000 to hire surrogate mothers to carry their offspring.
These men, cosmopolitan, professionals in their 40s and 50s, say they grew tired of waiting for the perfect partner to come along and decided that they didn't need marriage to have a baby.
Their argument sounds familiar: Women facing down the biological clock have taken the sans men option for years. Is the only difference that men need to hire a womb? What do you think of these new Mr. Moms?
