Jennifer Sbranti, The Hostess with the Mostess, has great ideas to help you plan the perfect graduation party!

Whether you get creative with education-themed elements such as books, graduation caps and diplomas, or go for a more offbeat theme, here are some ideas to help you tie the party together in style.

Funky Book Stack Centerpiece:

Wrap  hardcover books with cool, contemporary gift-wrap or decorative paper that matches your theme. On the spines of the books, use alphabet stickers to add "book titles" such as the guest of honor's name, the graduation year, or the name of the grad's school. Stack the books in the center of the table and bind them together with a ribbon.

Tassel Napkins:

Roll up black napkins or fold them into small squares, then embellish with a craft tassel to give the feel of a graduation cap.

Chalkboard Coasters:

These chalkboard coasters will give an instant "old-school" feel to your graduation party. Use them as drink coasters, place cards, or food markers for the buffet table!

Grad Frames

Display pics of the guest of honor at different stages of his or her life. Choose simple, solid color designs and embellish the frames yourself using talk bubble stickers and scrapbook "thickers" to spell things like "congrats," "grad," and "2008."

High Five Low Five Drink Stirrers:

What could be more appropriate for grad party drinks than stirrers that offers the congratulatory high five?!

Festive Signature Drinks:

Regardless of whether or not you're serving alcohol, it's fun to serve specialty drinks in cocktail glasses. Embellish the glasses with fun, fruity garnishes like citrus wedges, grapes, or skewers of blueberries or raspberries.
