It's easy to think that when you order a salad, you're making the healthy choice--but it's often full of junk you should avoid.   Taco salads are one of the worst of this kind.   You CAN still eat them, but with a few alterations.  Our friend Hungry Girl breaks down the scary nutritional contents in a typical taco salad and offers a tasty and WAY healthier alternative.

Taco salads often contain disturbing amounts of calories and fat. The numbers here are so high that you may find them hard to believe (but they're true, people!). Looks like the CRAZY grease-soaked shell, heaps of fatty beef, handfuls of cheese, and gobs of sour cream add up after all.
