Mom On A Mission

Tuesday, May 6, 2008

Tammy Lane, mother of 4, left behind her husband and kids to make a difference for those less fortunate in India and Africa.

Tammy has been married to her husband, Britt, for 21 years and the couple has four children; Jade (20), Dillon (17), and 13-year-old twins named Savanna and Destiny.

"I was a stay-at-home mom until about four years ago. Once my kids got older I wanted to fulfill a purpose...a year prior to the trip, I was watching TV and saw a program about leper colonies in India. I was shocked to see they still existed. From that point on, I wanted to go over there and help the people. That's what put the idea into my heart to do something."

Take a look at a recap of Tammy's month long journey.

Tomorrow, we follow-up with Tammy and her family and check-in after the trip.

Good for her to help, but curious: Is it just India and Kenya or are there other countries as well…(since it says “India and Africa,” I’m assuming there must be another country besides Kenya or why not just say India and Kenya?)
