Women in New York, the city that made Sex and the City, are feeling snubbed, but are even more concerned about what is on Sarah Jessica's head. The highly anticipated film premieres in New York City on May 27th.
12,000 dead after China earthquake: Chinese officials raised the death toll to 12,000 after a massive earthquake yesterday. Over 1,000 students and teachers are among the dead after a school was reduced to rubble. The number of causalities is expected to rise as the search and recovery effort gets underway.
Teen fails GED exam, dad sent to jail: An Ohio father was sentenced to 6 months jail time after his 18-year-old daughter failed her high school equivalency exam. Britney Gegner's father was ordered to have his daughter get her diploma, but when she failed the math portion of the GED exam, he was sent to jail and charged with "contributing to the delinquency of a minor." Britney says she is having a hard time with the math section and if anyone should be locked up, it should be her, not her dad.
Teens murdered on prom date: A young couple was murdered this weekend on their prom night, allegedly by the girl's jealous ex-boyfriend. Jennifer Carrigan's mother found the bodies of her daughter and prom date Sunday evening. After hearing the news of his sister's murder, Jennifer's brother was involved in a serious car accident while driving home and is currently in critical condition.
