As they prepare for an international tour and then a six-month Las Vegas engagement, Donny and Marie Osmond are busy, busy, busy. (Not to mention Marie alone has EIGHT kids. Hello!) The pair spoke with momlogic about what Mother's Day means to them.

Momlogic: Why did you decide to host Teleflora's America's Favorite Mom, and what are your plans for Mother's Day?

Donny: This is such a special day for us because our Mom passed away on Mother's Day four years ago, so we just couldn't turn this down. We're putting all of our rehearsals on hold and doing this show for Teleflora and NBC. We'll probably get right back to work after, but we'll take Mother's Day off. I think my wife will appreciate that! I have a whole lot planned but only we'll know about it.

Marie: I believe that this kind of an honor is something we do need to do for these women. I'm a Mom of eight and I'll tell you, I've done Olympic shows and inaugurations and television shows, but being a Mom is the most difficult and rewarding job out there. Kids don't come home to their video games, they come home to their Moms. And husbands may like their couches, but they do come home to their wives.

Momlogic: Most older kids tend to be embarrassed by or unimpressed with their parents. Is that how it is with yours?

Donny: I'm just another normal neighborhood dad. A lot of the kids in the neighborhood call me Uncle Donny. I'm just another neighbor.

Marie: I think it might be a little different with my kids. They know this is my job. I've just gotten back into shape having been on Nutrisystem. It's fun when your teenage daughters and your 21-year-old walk around and go, "Mom, we're taking you shopping!" Once they start dressing you, they start going, "My mommy's hot!" And I'm like, "Yes, I am having a hot flash, thank you."

Momlogic: What is the best advice you received from your own Mom?

Donny: "This too shall pass" was her saying when times got rough...and they always did. No matter what business you're in or what size family you have, life has a tendency to throw curve balls at you. Everyone experiences times when you don't know how you're going to get out of a situation. She always said, "Just be patient, this too shall pass." That was the greatest advice she ever gave to us.

Momlogic: Why do you think your own parents did such a great job at raising your entire family?

Marie: I think it's because they created a family structure where the woman in the home is treated equally and is cherished and adored by her husband. They were like a team. And all my brothers are like that with their wives, too. It's one unit -- and it's not like "I'm above you" or "You're beneath me" or anything else. That is what our parents taught.
