In our sixth installment of "Secrets in the Suburbs," momlogic talks to Kendra---a 38-year-old mom of two who tells people she is a model. Little do they know she's a star in the adult entertainment world.

It seems since she has done this video interview, it’s very likely her family will now find out what she does for a living. Her girls’ faces certainly were NOT fuzzy enough to not identify them. If another parent happened to see this and didn’t know Kendra, they would be able to identify the girls themselves. Modeling is one thing, but doing full-out sex scenes - surely not something I would want my 18-year-old daughter to be pursuing for a career; especially with all the diseases she could contract and die from. I think Kendra is playing with fire! Of course, it’s none of my business either. I just don’t consider it a responsible thing to be doing with two young girls to raise.

This story is completely appalling to me. There are many other ways to find time with your family besides going into the adult industry.. Believe me your kids know way more than you realize and they will find out about it. Especially after this video is ran. But besides that it is just wrong to disrespect yourself and women in general. Come on have more respect for yourself. Any women who are honest will tell you they feel dirty and awful by doing this kind of a thing. NO amount of money is worth putting your body on display for the world. You are not a body or a thing.. You are a human being a special creation who is important to other people. If it’s something you can’t tell your family about it is a pretty good indication you shouldn’t do it.

I would like to belive it’s a sign of the times. There are a lot of little business exactly like this, that are just seethting with people that can take advantage of peoples over the top ideas. Sex on video even though under specific concentrations usually prescribed by a sex therapist to encourage sex or intimacy for people that are having problems being intimate. But to just exploit people that are into watching people perform for sexual satisfaction is obnoxious. It results in being cheapened, and for girls creates this middle board of sexual identity that is crazy and not being able to create a sense of right or wrong. For guys, it also sets the precedent, “what else are women for anyway”? That may seem a bit generalized, but the thinking is allready present in so many attitudes sexual promiscuity is rampant, and that plays up to sex equating with money, money equating with power. Nobody wants to go beneath this rather eliptical argument, because the results for the mom is, she is able to be financially possible. What comes to mind, on the political end of this, is back in the early 2000’s President Bush said for Americans to go to work, if you wanted to make money, go to work. It was said as a statement. Well, is this considered work? In other countrys people have legitimate escort services, in this country it is supposedly illegal, but seems to be very well run under cover, sort of like Prohibition. People are strange, her issue is having to hide what she does from her family, then being able to live with her self, once she has had sex with these other porn stars. Where is there a line for the seedy end of this, once the lights camera and action is all gone? Or even if for some ridiculous reason, her movie is seen by one of her daughters friends and casually mentions, I think I saw your mom in some x rated film. Things happen, and anything you can’t speak openly to your family is a problem.
